Yep! That's me! (Life Update)

So today is the weekend after the third week of school and I am tired. Every morning, I wake up at 5:45 for zero period, which starts at 6:45. After school gets out at 3:00, I have tennis practice till 5:30 or a match that goes till 7:00. With these long days at school and lots of homework from honors and AP classes, I'm up till at least midnight everyday, which hasn't left much time for blogging.
I did join journalism, but with the busy schedule that I already have, I decided that I wouldn't be able to put much effort into it and it would keep me from other homework, so I dropped out after the first week and switched into ceramics, a class that will hopefully cause me a lot less stress.
Since I haven't had much free time, I don't have much to say about fun things that I've been doing but hopefully I will be having some more time soon.

Yep! That's Me! (Life Update)

I can't believe how quickly time flies! The end of my freshman year is approaching quickly and I can't believe it's been almost a year since I last wrote! It seems as though I am already beginning to chose my future. Course selection is coming up and they are encouraging me to start deciding what college I want to go to and what classes I'm going to take for the rest of high school. It seems like a lot at once but I am going to try to hit the ground running.
So get this! Yesterday I got a handwritten letter from a teacher at my school inviting me to join journalism next year! I really don't know how they found out about my writing but it seems like it would be a great experience and a chance to practice my writing skills. I realized that I can get my learners permit exactly one year from today and I can't wait to drive. So many exciting things are happening in my life and I'm looking forward to see what they bring.

Yep! That's Me! (Life Update)

Hey! It's Chloe again.

Its been a while since I last posted to my blog and I thought "Hey! I should post to my blog again!". So here I am, posting to my blog again. The last time I posted was like, oh I don't know, in 2010!! Wow, time flies when your having fun.

Well anyways, I'm about to enter high school now. I know, I know. The last time I wrote, I was in second grade. I am so nervous for high school. It just seemed like yesterday I was graduating kindergarten and now, here I am, graduating 8th grade! Since then I have gotten better at both writing and typing. My first few posts were typed by my dad while I stood there and told him what to write.

I'm hoping to get more followers on my blog since now I am able to write on it more often. Lydia, my sister who is now 12, my neighbor, Kimberly and I have a YouTube channel that has about 70 subscribers. If your reading this and your not subscribed, we would really like another one!

My story writing has continued and I hope to post some more on soon. I hope that you have enjoyed my previous stories.

Thanks for reading!

My Horse

I sat in the wooden barn waiting for my pa to come home with the brand new horse he had promised me for my 18th birthday. I had been waiting for hours for him to come back. At last he came home. I ran up to him, “Where's my horse Pa?” “I'm sorry Abigail,” he said sorrowfully. “The ranch isn't there anymore.” I looked at him, trying to hold back tears. I knew it wasn't his fault. Why was I crying?

That night I set my alarm to go off at 4:00, when nobody was awake. I stared at the ceiling thinking. Thinking. When it seemed like I had just started to drift off to sleep, my alarm went off. I jumped out of  bed, slid on my boots, and ran out to the barn, excited for an adventure.
I grabbed a horse and a rope and galloped into the forest. I circled for hours but found nothing. When I was about to give up and go home, I saw it. The horse of my dreams. A beautiful horse. A wild horse. I slowly crept up behind it. Just when I was about to catch it, the stallion looked at me, with it's deep brown eyes. I stared back, imagining what it would be like to ride her.
She looked at me nervously and started to back away. “It's okay,” I told her. I got of my horse and walked towards her with my hand out. She took another step back and she started to look like she was going to run away any second. “It's okay,” I told her again. This time she stepped towards me. I carefully put the rope around her neck, grabbed the other horse and started to walk back towards home.
I love my horse. Her name is Beauty. No matter what, I will never, ever forget her.

The Little Christmas Tree

Once there was a little tree who was sad because nobody picked her to be their Christmas tree. She was the smallest tree at the fair. Then something amazing happened! The smallest family she had ever seen came up to her! "I think this is a perfect tree," said the dad! "Yes", said the mom, "this tree is much smaller." "Can we take it home, please pretty please" asked the children? "Ok" said the dad, "I think that is a great idea!" So they bought the tree and took it out to their tiny car.

When they got to the little family's house, the little tree thought "this house is little just like me". The little family took her inside and put her up in the tiny living room. They decorated her with little shiny balls and a tiny sparkling star on top. She felt perfectly at home.

The next night was Christmas Eve. Everyone was happy and there was lots of beautiful presents under the little tree. The little tree felt so happy. After a while, everyone went to bed. It got very quiet. Then there was the strangest noise outside. It sounded like tiny hooves clattereing on the roof. Then there was a poof of smoke from the little fireplace and a tiny man in a red suit popped out! Santa Claus! He was tiny just like here and the little family. Suddenly the little tree felt like the biggest tree in the world.

The End

Yep! That's Me!

Hi, my name is Chloe and I am seven years old! My favorite colors are pink and purple. As you can see, I have short hair. It used to be long, but I decided that I should get it cut.

You can see that I have a necklace, but you can't see the charm on it. It is a book-shaped locket with a cross on it, and when you open it, it says "Praise the Lord".

My school is in San Marcos. I am in second grade. I have great friends there: Samantha, Jessica, Isabel, Sarah, Allie, and Haylie, who is in third grade.

I have a little sister named Lydia that is five. She is in Kindergarten. She likes to dress up! She is a sweet loving girl that I really love. We do lots of things together.

I have lost five teeth, two on the top, and three on the bottom.
